Why did I Create this Website?

This is a school project for my high school environmental science class. We have been looking at some of the most pressing and urgent environmental issues that are affecting us now and will be affecting us in the near future. We felt that these issues are worth notifying the world about and encouraging society to make the first steps to a healthier earth.

What is this Website?

This website is a resource focusing on on some of the most relevant and important isssues in the U.S. today. The topics that are featured on this website are closely related to highlight the fact that one environmental issue is closely tied into another and that the impact we have on one issue may affect other issues.

How changes in population affects our environment and how these changes are measured.

Sustainability:

Sustainability is made up of four parts that always must be taken into consideration to create and maintain a system. 

Energy Use:

The U.S. uses a lot more energy than the rest of the world. This energy comes from many different sources and each has a different impact on the earth.

Climate Change:

Due to human activity, the global climate is changing. This change in climate is not exclusive to a change in temperature, there are more affects the earth will face.

Renewable Energy:

As we are using so much energy there is a need for replenishable energy that we will not run out of. There is a multitude of new technology being developed to create clearner energy.
